ya i checked alot of different retailers and one said 700 the other said 550and another one said 600 and then pricepoint had them on lowstock clearence for 400 so i got a killer deal, and ya its likely that you could find one for 435, and alot of ppl just say that there is problems with solo air cuz they like coil and only promote coil so that could be why youve heard bad things about them, impo they are the best dj/street fork second only to the marzo 4x

um no ive never heard of them cracking, there is the 302 the 318 and the 409 and the 409 is the best cuz it has a solo air and a few other adjustments that the other too lack, but its also a couple hundred dolla more then the other 2 which both sell for around 400 and this one retails brand new at 6 ish

i have it really loose right now so its usaly 100mm but nows its 130mm
